HUGE STAR IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE


The most massive star in the Milky Way is about to explode. Astronomers who have been studying Eta Carinae, a star 9,000 light-years away from earth with a mass 100 times that of the sun, have discovered that nuclear reactions have already taken place near its center.
